Vintage Oak Sofa Bench Model 2219 designed by Børge Mogensen for Fredericia Stolefabrik with its original fabric designed by Danish textile artist Lis Ahlmann.

A rare example of the Model 2219 sofa bench in solid oak for Fredericia Stolefabrik, retaining its original upholstery by textile artist Lis Ahlmann.

Mogensen and Ahlmann were lifelong collaborators who developed textiles specifically to complement the architectural rigor of Mogensen’s furniture. This piece preserves that original vision—a masterclass in mid-century harmony between honest oak joinery and hand-woven texture. An unadulterated survival for the design purist.

Condition 

Excellent original condition. The solid oak frame features a natural, even patina. To ensure longevity and comfort, the internal support webbing has been newly replaced. The original Cotil 831 fabric remains structurally sound and well-preserved.
